What does it mean to be a part of the church? More specifically: what does it mean to be a part of our church? We sit in a unique corner of the world where there are unique opportunities and realities that shape what it means for us to be the church here. We have to recognize those distinguishing qualities and press into them, while at the same time recognizing that we are a part of the larger Church – the Kingdom of God where certain qualities and values are not optional. Sometimes it can feel too complicated or too deep to try and place all these pieces together. How do we balance all of this? And more importantly, how do we live them out in our neighborhood?
