August 4 – Who Is Our Enemy?Mike Rodriguez

Key Verse: 1 Peter 5:8 “Be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour.”

Big Idea: In the course of spiritual warfare it is important that we are clear who our enemy is. We want to make sure we are engaging our enemy and are not mislead into friendly fire or harming innocents and allies.

August 11 – How do we fight? – Jason Holt

Key Verse: Ephesians 6:10-11 (NLT) “10 A final word: Be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. 11 Put on all of God’s armor so that you will be able to stand firm against all strategies of the devil.”

Big Idea: God has generously outfitted us with armor to fight the real battles we face in the spiritual realm but we must learn to utilize our spiritual outfit in order to stand firm in the battle.

August 18 – Where is our Battlefield?Rodolfo Soto

Key Verse: 2 Kings 6:17: And Elisha prayed, “Open his eyes, Lord, so that he may see.” Then the Lord opened the servant’s eyes, and he looked and saw the hills full of horses and chariots of fire all around Elisha.”

Big idea: There is a spiritual world that we do not see and just like Elisha’s servant, God showed him the real war when Elisha prayed. How would your faith be stirred up if instead of just seeing the odds stacked against you in the natural world, you would be able to see God at work in the battlefield of your life in the spirit world.

August 25 –  Why do we use Tactics? – Bart Luciano

Key Verse: 2 Corinthians 10:4 The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds.

Big Idea: Knowing is half the battle; “the more you know” picture. Our enemy knows how to hunt, how to infiltrate and attack at our every weak point. If you’re only as strong as your weakest link then as fickle, selfish creatures with a nature of iniquity we need to be in constant contact with our savior in order to build up our defenses.

September 1 – How are we preparing your heart/head for battle?Antonio Daniels

Key Verse: Philippians 4:6-7: “Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”

Big Idea: The fact that evil and suffering will ultimately be defeated in no way minimizes the intensity of the pain we feel when suffering through defeat. But when you begin to doubt the certainty of evil’s ultimate defeat, look to Jesus’ victory over the cross! His victory over sin and death is your opportunity for peace of mind. The answer to trials, temptation, worry, anxiety, fear, failure and all the other struggles of life is to obtain the peace that goes above and beyond all understanding.
